Patrol 6 is made up of families from all over the Denver Metro and foothills. Our age group ranges from young families to retired. We accommodate all vehicles, experience levels and enjoy moderate to difficult types of wheeling. We have an adopt-a-road in Summit County and like to stay involved with land use issues in our state.

We run mostly day trips but have some overnights and night runs each year. We try to have up to three trail runs available each month during the summer. We firmly believe there are many fun things to do in the mountains and half the fun is getting there and back, in one piece.  We believe in teamwork on the trail and leave no one behind, everyone pitches in when a vehicle had difficulties or break.  Don’t go wheeling alone.  Come join us on one of our many trips!

WHO WE ARE

• First and foremost we love to get out of the city and 'wheel'.
• We are NOT skinny pedal wheelers!  We don’t mind pulling winch line or getting tow straps out.
• We welcome all levels of driving expertise and are always ready to lend hand or give advice.
• We typically run trails that are moderate to Difficult and ensure everyone gets home.
• Our members, love camping, pets and kids.
• Wheeling might not be the main focus of our run that day, exploring mines, rock digs or astronomy at night might be why we're up there and getting there will be half the fun.
• Although our name is the Mud Slingers we still abide with and teach the 'Tread Lightly' principles of 4-wheeling.  We stay on the trail, pick up trash and try to leave every trail in as good as or better shape than we found it.
• We actually use the lights on our rigs and running trails at night is something we can't live without.
• We support the efforts of the Mile Hi Jeep Club in Land use and club activities to the best of our ability.

The 2012 wheeling season is under way and we are having a blast! With Slaughterhouse, Chinamen & China Wall under our belt so far we are ready to take on Pickle Gulch this Month as well as our first long Camping / Wheeling weekend of the year.  Checkout our schedule and contact us if you’re interested in joining up with us.  We are not skinny pedal wheelers.  We love the outdoors, our friends and our rigs.
